Andrew Fleischman first studied piano with his mother, then with Content Sablinsky in his hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. He majored in music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA Music 1994), studying piano with Francis Whang and harpsichord with David Schulenberg. While in school, Andrew played numerous recitals (solo and chamber) and performed with a wide variety of ensembles, including the UNC opera workshop, the UNC-Duke Combined Symphony, the UNC Collegium Musicum, the UNC Symphonic Band, the William & Mary Early Music Trio, the Charlottesville Oratorio Society and the UVA Law Libel Show Band. In Louisville, he has performed with Nada Loutfi, Maxine Kuo, Kenji Tashiro, Nathan Wilson, Daniel Gilliam and others. Andrew and his wife Trish have two children, Bess (8) and Harris (5), who attend the Virginia Chance School. Andrew serves on the Board of Directors of the Louisville Orchestra and is the President of the Chamber Music Society of Louisville, in addition to being a partner in the law firm Kaplan & Partners LLP.
