Alex Vvedenskiy

Alexander Vvedenskiy is newly appointed Principal Oboist of Louisville Orchestra. He holds degrees from Curtis Institute of Music and Manhattan School of Music with major teachers Richard Woodhams and Liang Wang respectively.

Alexander Vvedenskiy is winner of following competitions: Grand Prize of International competition “Vienna-Classic” in Austria (2007) and a special prize “Mozart-wunderkind;” 2nd prize in the 42-nd year of the International Radio Competition for Young Musicians Concertino Prague (2008); and the winner of the Philadelphia Orchestra Greenfield Competition (2011).

As a soloist and chamber musician, Alexander performed in numerous concerts halls of Europe, Asia and USA. He has also made solo appearances with Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, Ulyanovsk Philharmonic Orchestra, “Musica Viva” Chamber Orchestra, The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, and The Philadelphia Orchestra.

Also Alexander appeared in concerts as Guest Principal Oboe with New York Philharmonic, and substitute second oboe with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
