On April 28th, Cecilia performed as a member of Henry Mancini Institute String Quartet in their Launch Concert, premiering string quartet works by Jeremy Fox, Luis Miguel Gil, Gene Knific, Peter Learn, Rafael Piccoletto de Lima, Brian Lynch, and David Mendoza. A work by Jeremy Cohen was also included as their encore. This is the first year that the Henry Mancini Institute has established a string quartet in their program.
On April 7th, Cecilia gave her final recital titled “Bach to Argentina” at the Frost School of Music as a DMA student. Featuring works by J.S. Bach, Piazzolla, Ginastera, and Guastavino including 7 new cello ensemble arrangements by Cecilia created through her dissertation. She was assisted by pianist Fernando Landeros, soprano Mary Claire Curran, violinist Jaya Varma, Frost School of Music cello studio, and her fiance cellist/engineer Adrian Lauf.
On April 5th, Cecilia acted as principal cellist of the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra to accompany Kevin Spacey at the Adrienne Arsht Center 8th Anniversary Gala concert where they performed Bobby Darin favorites!
